Bain
|
David Malcolm Bain While we had sufficient information to publish the Wing Commander David Bain story before Grahame Keaton's, it was decided that we should wait until the RAAF and ADF had finished their investigations into his behaviour, howeverlast Sunday, 19 March 06, the Bain story appeared in the Queensland Sunday Mail, seemingly provided by an enthusiastic wannabe hunter who was not, and is not, connected to ANZMI. |
That news article is belowwith a better view of his 17 medals and three citations from the Distinguished Service Medal down to the Kuwait Liberation Medal shown enlarged, below the news article
The medals and citations he wore are all United States awards and are: RAAF Pilot brevet. (Wings) Now that the cat's out of the bag, we feel we can add to what was shown in the article. David Bain came to our attention in late January 2006 when we were asked to check on his US Military service. Our friends in the US, Chuck and Mary Schantag of POW Network, did the necessary searches and came up with a nil result. It was reported that Bain claimed to have been an Australian fighter pilot who was later seconded to the US and flew all sorts of missions there during the past decade or so. A report of him claiming to have been a 16 year US Army helicopter pilot was also received, with stories of him flying Apaches.
24 October 2005. In a press interview, as advertising for selling air-conditioners from his shop, he was referred to as a former RAAF helicopter pilot, it was further stated that he was already trained and entered the RAAF as a pilot in 1972. In this interview he was also quoted as saying that he won a flying scholarship in 1971 and entered the RAAF but he contradicts this in a later interview where he said it was 1970. In either case it seems he was born 4 November 1954 and a RAAF pilot at age 15 or 16, very good.
Squadron Leader Bain was appointed Office Commanding 2 Wing AAFC and promoted to Wing Commander on 1 January 06 and promptly sacked two of his senior officers. After Bain "resigned for health reasons" Canberra reinstated them. On 1 February 06, Bain was tossed out of his posting as OC and RAAF Security Police began investigating how he came by his RAAF pilot brevetbadge and all the US Army medals. The RAAF have indicated that they are proceeding with an investigation on his medals. Will this finally see one of these bogus people being charged with medals offences? We think not. To investigate his medals they should also look at his "service" of providing medal mounting for Servicepersons. No doubt this will lead to his access and obtaining the medals he illegal wore fraudulently. At no time was he a RAAF pilot. We know the RAAF are reading this page. Will they (eventually) contact us and advise the outcome of their investigations into his bogus medals and the charges they have preferred against him, again we think not. A Defence Force Policy statement was issued on 18 February 2004 and this is what both BAIN and KEATON would have signed off on as having read and understood. In the main it's basic leadership common sense so we only present point 12 and one of the commanding officer's responsibilities. AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE CADETS (ADFC) Apparently not worth the paper it was written on where 2 Wing AAFC Qld was concerned.
Bain has used deception for his own personal gratification. The article below says: Bain pleaded guilty to fraud, obtaining financial advantage by deception, falsely representing to be a returned soldier, wearing service decorations not conferred and using or wearing a Defence emblem (Pilot brevet). This is an admission by his lawyer. The lawyer also states "he has never been in trouble before"....most murderers are in the same boat and have to start somewhere. He claims Bain now worked assisting in air conditioner installation and "having a conviction would impact his economic situation." So what we say. He made the choice to impersonate a decorated service member and should now pay the penalty for his deception. He abused his position of authority within the Defence Cadet structure especially at a time where cadets are thinking of a career within a Defence force that is having troubles with recruiting. How do these youngsters feel about his deception?
29 Sep 2007 Bain's adventure into the world of make believe and fraud has ended. He was found guilty of numerous offences in the Ipswich, Queensland Magistrates Court and fined. The Magistrate described Bain's behaviour as bizarre. Below is a report of the legal proceedings This is published in the public interest, particularly that of the Vietnam Veteran Community. All information presented here is fact and the truth. Reports from private citizens are supported by statements of fact and statutory declarations. |
Baker
Neal Baker born 13 September 1973 will tell you he is a trained Pharmacist who joined the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) to become a Chef, who from time to time was attached to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO).
The movie star Steven Seagal acted in the movie "Under Siege" as the Admiral's personal cook, but he was also a deadly member of the USA Sea Air and Land team (SEALs) who are elite Special Forces operatives. Seagal in the movie was a "cool dude" who seems to have an effect on Baker, who in his dreams, emulated Seagal's lifestyle of being a mild mannered cook who when provoked became a dynamo of heroic action.
We have not been able to locate any evidence that Baker served in the RAN, but if he did, his service was nothing like he has told people. We have three separate Statutory Declarations (and could get more) that detail the exploits that "action man" Neal Baker has told to people. Here is what he has said:
Served in the RAN from 1993 until 2001
Was a Pharmacist for three years in civilian life but gave it up to become a RAN Cook.
Also served as "Military Police" in the RAN
Was often attached to ASIO for special missions.
Completed International assassination missions for ASIO
Worked on Special ASIO missions in Papua New Guinea (PNG)
Was captured by PNG local Militia and held prisoner for two months
Escaped but was found in a remote village
Shot and killed six militia who were trying to recapture him
Shot and killed an eight year old boy in the crossfire.
Saved the life of his fellow ASIO worker named "Ned" on many occasions
Bashed another Sailor for raping an indigenous girl.
Was stabbed whilst on duty as a Chef in PNG
Every soldier had to do patrols even the Chefs
Has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which is the reason for his mood swings.
Among his family and friends the above lies were what was believed, to be Baker's background and the reason for his occasional bad behaviour.
It is betrayal to build relationships and friendships on a foundation of lies and deceit.
His claims are outrageous and are the ultimate act of dishonour to the Australian and New Zealand Veteran Community. Most Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen served roles from the front line on land, sea or air to logistic support as Cooks, Drivers, Mechanics etc. None of the logistic support servicemen masqueraded as Special Forces ASIO operatives who flitted from the kitchen stove to secret missions.
Baker is a person with no conscience, who has a track record of telling ridiculous lies about his imaginary RAN service. Any person who has ever served in the RAN will see through his stupid stories of clandestine action as an ASIO agent who was an RAN cook between missions.
We contacted Baker and asked him about his RAN Service and he refused to divulge any information.
We hope he is not still doing "secret missions" for ASIO because we have now "blown" his cover. Any person, agent of ISIS, or enemy of our Nation who types his name into "Google" will receive this report.

Ball
Here we go again, another in the long, long line of RSL Sub Branch executives who continue to flaunt Medal Protocols set down by Government House, Canberra. Allow us to introduce Kenneth BALL, Secretary of the Woorinen (Victoria) RSL Sub Branch.
BALL, a genuine Vietnam Veteran who felt the need to embellish his medallic entitlement by adding the tin Vietnam Veterans Medal to his rack. What is the entitlement to this medal? Nothing really, just fork over 42 pounds sterling and the medal is yours.
Kenneth BALL served the Nation in Vietnam as a Temporary Corporal in the Catering Corps. He served with the armoured corps during his tour in Vietnam.
As a Sub Branch Secretary, Kenneth BALL would be well aware of the policies and procedures of the RSL and been privy to correspondence concerning the correct wearing of honours and awards. He has no excuse for flaunting the rules.
It amazes us here at ANZMI that RSL members who swear their allegiance to Australia in one breath, can snub their nose at the rules and protocols of the country in another. Our advice to Kenneth BALL is to remove the TIN immediately, and suggest that if he has the money to purchase such rubbish that in future, he donate that money to Veteran’s Welfare.
Welcome to our website Kenneth BALL.
Bangard
The Facebook social media is not a good place to lie about your military history. Veterans and ex Servicemen can easily spot a wannabe. Such is the case of Jaques Bangard of Cranbourne Victoria.
Bangard is wearing a Commando Hat Badge indicating that he has an entitlement to do so. In fact he has never been anywhere near a Commando Unit. On Facebook he has listed his military achievements:
We believe that our version is the real history of his military service;
Bangard Enlisted into the Army Reserve Melbourne University Regiment on 10 March 1983 for service at the Monash University 'Regiment. On the 1 Jul 1983 he was deemed to be "Non Efficient" which meant he was not attending parades. On the 30 June 1984 was declared to be providing non effective service and was discharged on 4 December 1984.
During his sojourn at the Melbourne University Regiment he did not even qualify as Private Rifleman. The military history proffered by Bangard is a page of lies. He has achieved non of the skills listed on his version.
We usually find that people who lie about their military history also lie about other aspects of their life, so beware of Bangard. Because Bangard's lies relate to 30 years ago we assume he wrongly believed that time would cloak the truth. We do not place time limits on wannabes. As long as they still breathe we will expose them, and once exposed they will stay on this web site as long as it exists.
Google is very much aware of our operation and every time a persons name is typed into that search engine the ANZMI entry will appear.
Banville
John Christopher Banville was born on the 18 June, 1947. He is now 67 years of age. He enlisted in the RAN on the 26 June, 1964 as a 17 year old for a term on 9 years. After a short period training at HMAS Cerberus, he was posted on board the HMAS Yarra on the 19 September, 1964.
Banville is a medals cheat.
Between the 31 March, 1965 and the 4 May, 1966, the HMAS Yarra had four operational deployments in Malaysia , Singapore waters during the Indonesian confrontation. Banville served on three short term deployments between those dates with an aggregate service of 123 days.
In the photograph below, Banville is wearing the following medals and clasps -;
The Australian Active Service Medal 1945-1975 clasp Malaysia (Entitled)
General Service Medal 1962 Clasp Malaysia. (Entitled)
Vietnam Logistic Support Medal. (Not entitled)
Australian Service Medal 1945-1975, clasp FESR (Far East Strategic Reserve) (Entitled)
Australian Defence Medal. (Not entitled)
Malaysian Pingat Jasa Medal 90 days qualifying service in Malaysia.(Entitled)
Banville is not entitled to wear the Vietnam Logistic and Support Medal. He left the HMAS Yarra on the 12 September 1965. He then remained posted to the shore establishment of HMAS Cerberus and took annual leave until he was discharged as "Unsuitable" on the 12 January, 1966, 1 years and 7 months after he enlisted.
The HMAS Yarra was initially accredited with operational service in Vietnam waters for 14 days in April/May 1966. Banville was not a member of the crew during this time. He was at HMAS Cerberus awaiting his discharge.
His Naval record below confirms this fact -;
He has no Vietnam service and his name does not appear on the Vietnam Nominal Roll at the Australian War Memorial website.
As Banville also did not complete his initial enlistment period of 9 years or alternatively, 4 years service, he is also not entitled to wear the the Australian Defence Medal.
Below is the criteria for the Australian Defence Medal from the "Its and Honour" a Government site.
How it is awarded
The Governor-General (or his delegate) awards the Australian Defence Medal on the recommendation of the Chief of the Defence Force (or his delegate).
The eligibility criteria requires completion of an initial enlistment period or four years service, whichever is the lesser. The criteria also includes those who could not serve the four-year qualifying period or complete an initial enlistment period for one or more of the following reasons:
• the death of a member during service;
• the discharge of the member as medically unfit due to compensable impairment;
• the discharge of the member due to a prevailing discriminatory Defence policy, as determined by the Chief of the Defence Force or his or her delegate.
Banville is a member of the Karuah RSL Club. He is a medals cheat who is trying to impress his colleagues that he is entitled to medals that he has not earned.
We do not discredit Banville for being discharged from the Royal Australian Navy as "unsuitable".
Not everyone is suited to a military career, however to blatantly wear medals that you have purchased and add to your genuine rack shows that he lacks character and is dishonest with his fellow RSL colleagues. He needs to get rid of his unearned medals and apologise to his Karuah RSL Sub Branch members for his lack of respect and his dishonesty.
Barlow
Rohan John Barlow was born on the 25 May, 1977. Barlow is a military fraud. He has confused being a Fork Lift Driver with a Clearance Diver.
Barlow enlisted in the Australian Army in May, 1995. He was 18 years of age. Following Recruit Training he was posted to the Royal Australian Ordnance Corps, where he qualified as a fork lift driver and storeman.
In January, 1998, he transferred to 2 Royal Australian Regiment (RAR) as a Private Rifleman. After 17 months, he resigned and took his discharge on the 29 May, 1999. His rank on discharge was a private soldier.
During the 4 years Barlow served in the Australian Army, he had no overseas deployments. He served his entire enlistment period in Australia. He has no awards.
Following Barlow’s discharge, he has fabricated his military service on numerous occasions, to impress ladies and others to gain favour and other benefits, including board and lodgings.
ANZMI have received signed statements of fact, indicating the stories that Barlow has told to others, that are just outright lies.
His statements include -;
1. He was a Royal Australian Navy Clearance Diver, from 1995 to 1999, and as a Trainee, was best in his class.
2. He then served in the Australian Army Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) for a period of 8 years.
3. He fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and had to kill people.
4. He struggles with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) “due to his SASR service with what he was made to do.”
5. He was not allowed to drink alcohol for 7 days prior to his SASR ops.
6. He faced real action in SASR.
7. He worked in small covert teams in SASR, but did not want to talk about it.
8. He jumped out of planes higher than 15000 feet.
9. He stated that his PTSD is so severe, that he could never dive again, and that he gets anxious just looking at the ocean.
Barlow is an aggressive and arrogant military fraud. When questioned by others about his alleged SASR military service, he claims, like all other SASR imposters who appear on this site, that he cannot talk of his experiences, due to his severe PTSD.
He then ascertains telephone numbers of those who question his service and he leaves grossly indecent and defamatory remarks on answering services and in text messages..
We have advised our informants that the intervention of police action is absolutely necessary to prevent the continuation of this illegal behaviour by Barlow.
Barlow is a liar who, over the years, has duped a lot of people. He will no doubt surface again.
