John Victor Miller was issued with the prestigious Order of Australia medal (OAM) for "Service to World War Two Veterans particularly through the recognition of under-age servicemen". His whole efforts in this endeavour were based on the false premise that he was an underage World War Two (WW2) Veteran.
In the above photograph miller is wearing the following medals:
1939-1945 Star - No entitlement.
Pacific Star - No entitlement.
Defence Medal - No entitlement.
1939-1945 War Medal - No entitlement.
Australian Service Medal 1939-1945 - No entitlement.
Australian Service medal 1945-1975 with Japan Clasp - May be entitled.
Unofficial British Commonwealth Occupation Forces Medal-Self purchased tin
Norwegian Defence Medal 1940-1945 - No entitlement.
The medals he wears in the above photograph are based on his Merchant Navy Service and Royal Australian Navy Service on the vessels:
The truth is that he had no Merchant Navy Service, and all of his RAN service was after WW2 had ended.
He "sold" his false war history to a prestigious Private School, who celebrate the service of genuine underage Servicemen who fought in WW2. Eventually historians at the School were able to establish that Miller was a fraud, liar and wannabe and have "sacked" him from the organisation he foundered.
Miller's autobiography is one of a courageous, patriotic youngster who went to war at thirteen years of age in a Naval Auxiliary Patrol in St Vincents Gulf, South Australia. He then served as a Gunner in the Merchant Navy on a Norwegian Merchant Ship. After serving on the armed Norwegian Merchant Ship, SS Sjobris he enlisted into the RAN and served on RAN war ships, HMAS Shropshire and HMAS Australia.
Here is what he said about wartime service in the Merchant Navy and the RAN
"Waiting until the Norwegian ship S.S. Sjobris had docked, he made his way up to the bridge and greeted Captain Hans Johanson with the salute of the year. “Sir, I am a well-trained Cadet seeking a position.” Needing additional crew and influenced by appearances rather than age, the skipper signed on Cadet Miller as a “Yungman.” The luck continued with a R.A.N. - D.E.M.S. gun crew arriving the following day; Leading Seaman Doug Harding and Able Seaman Jack Manning shouting out instructions as their 25-year-old Balfour four-inch was hoisted aboard the Sjobris. Within minutes he had been accepted as a gun crew member by Doug Harding"
"With the Pacific ‘island hopping’ it was realized what enormous casualties lay ahead, especially the invasion of Japan itself. There was no doubt the most serious of these threats would come from the Japanese air attack corps. Large numbers of Allied ships were already being sent to the bottom by Kamikaze suicidal crashes, and this would steadily increase. Selected gunnery personnel including 1st Class AA Gunner Miller were given specialized training to combat this threat, and utilizing the latest American technology, sent back to their ships. The HMAS Australia (a Kamikaze put her out of action for a period) and HMAS Shropshire, were two Cruisers which Able Seaman John Miller served on"
He also falsely described the tragic circumstances of the death of a crewmate.
"The gunnery experience under Doug’s guidance enabled an earlier than normal entry into the R.A.N. and while in training he had gone to the aid of a young indigenous lad from Bunbury, and since that unfortunate incident, Billy Crocker stuck to his rescuer like glue. A few days after arriving in New Guinea, Billy was blown up at Finschhafen and rushing to his sickbay bed, I found a very badly mutulated (sic) mate. Finding it impossible to hold the dismembered hand, the only option was to lean forward and try to reassure my friend. “It’s okay Billy, I’m here with you now.” Coming out of his semi-conscious state, the first faltering words were about his appearance “What do I look like, Dusty… how bad is my face?” My answer was not the best. “You’ll be okay Billy, they’re doing wonders with our pilots faces.” A dome-like contraption with lots of hot inner globes covered his body and the doctor after feeling a protruding foot, shook his head. Moments later there was a gurgling noise with black liquid streaming from his mouth; and my best friend had been lost."
The above is a despicable lie.
The truth is that Miller had no maritime service until he enlisted in the RAN aged Seventeen years and five months in December 1945, three months after the end of WW2. His first departure from Australian was aboard HMAS Shropshire in January 1947 when as an Ordinary Seaman, with the trade of Steward, he was a crew member when the Ship visited Japan and returned to Australia in March 1947.
Here is both sides of his Navy Service Record. Although faded his service history can be traced.
As far as service aboard the Norwegian armed Merchant Ship SS Sjobris is concerned, there is no record of Miller ever having served in the Merchant Navy, and in any case we have the entire Sailing schedule for that ship for the years 1940 until 1946. The Vessel arrived in Fremantle on 15 August 1942 from Karachi and sailed only in Australian waters until March 1946 when it departed for Hong Kong. Here is an example of its Sailing Schedule.
The lies proffered by Miller of his Naval service are indicative of a pathological liar who has put a lot of thought and planning into his deception.
He is a long term offender who over many years created a false service history to glorify himself. He has wallowed in the accolades from his deception and most likely received financial benefit. He has been awarded the Medal for the Order of Australia (OAM)on the basis of a huge lie. We and others have made representations to the Office of the Governor General to have his OAM rescinded.
Ronald Barry Larcombe is another Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (RVCM) cheat.
UPDATE - JOHN VICTOR MILLER -29 OCT 15
The circle of retribution has turned for Miller. The Order of Australia Medal (OAM) that was presented to him by the Governor General has been rescinded.
Here is the media report:
Frauds and Wannabes are being exposed by ANZMI at the rate of six per month. Those who indulge in stealing honour from the Veteran community should be aware that eventually they will be caught and exposed.
If you are currently enjoying false kudos for fake Defence service, be prepared to suffer the ignominy of featuring on this web site.
It’s not often you come across someone of the calibre of Lawrence Vincent Pollard. According to him he was a valued member of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO)! In fact, so much so, we’re apparently not even allowed to link him to his former employer for fear of imprisonment for up to 10 years.
To make matters worse, Pollard is the President of the Southport RSL Sub Branch. And to put icing on the cake, for his dedicated service to ASIO he was awarded an ASIO Medal AND a Certificate of Appreciation and Meritorious Service. Both of which he is very happy to show off to anyone who’s interested. However, if you doubt or question Pollard’s entitlement to wear this tin ‘ASIO’ medal on his left breast along with his two other legitimate medals, he will attempt to explain that it is totally and undisputedly genuine and he can prove it.
Mr Lawrence Vincent Pollard is a liar and a fraud.
When asked by ANZMI, this is what Pollard had to say about his ‘ASIO’ medal:
Good Day XXXX,
I have been half expecting an email from your group.
As you will see from the attached I am a former/retired member of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) and the third medal I wear is an ASIO Medal although the scan does not show it very well the name of ASIO is spelled out in detail around the medal.
The ASIO medal is not yet part of Australia’s Honours and Awards system, although it is presently being progressed and the matter is in the hands of the Director General of ASIO Major General Duncan Lewis (RTD). Mr Lewis is also progressing ASIO being made an eligible Organisation for the National Medal. We are aware that it will take some time for Letters Patent to be issued/approved for the ASIO Medal whereas the Governor General has the authority to declare an Organisation eligible for the National Medal and ASIO certainly qualifies even in relation to hazardous duty as there are two Islamists presently in jail for planning to kill ASIO officers.
In the meantime in order to be correct in the wearing of this medal I discussed the matter with Mr Peter Rush, Assistant Secretary Prime Minister & Cabinet Honours and Awards and Territories Branch. Mr Rush advised that as this is an Official Commonwealth Medal AWARDED to me and not a franklin mint or corn flakes packet medal I am entitled to wear it with my military medals and it does not come under the ACT in relation to honours and awards..
I have attached the ASIO Certificate of Meritorious Service to prove my credentials however you need to note Section 92 (1) (a) of the ASIO Act makes it offence for anyone to publish my name so will need to keep this correspondence confidential and as your group is concerned with integrity issues ( a cause which I support) I trust that you will appreciate this point.
I trust that this explanation puts this issue at rest and please contact me should you require any further information.
If Pollard was half-expecting an email from ANZMI, then he must have half-expected to be exposed as a liar and a fraud!
The ASIO medal that Pollard wears doesn’t exist, therefore he has taken it upon himself to have one made. The ribbon he has chosen for his ASIO medal is the one already used on the Dutch War Service 50th Anniversary medal (itself a ‘tin’ medal). ASIO does not have, and are unlikely to ever have, an official medal. To claim that the Director General of ASIO is contemplating the creation of an ASIO medal is also far-fetched. We doubt very much that, during this current climate of the threat from terrorism, the Director General would even waste his valuable time on this subject.
Pollard clearly admits that this piece of tin he’s wearing is not (yet) a part of the Australian Honours and Awards system. Pollard claims to have been given permission to wear the medal on the left side by a MrPeter Rush, Assistant Secretary Prime Minister & Cabinet Honours and Awards and Territories Branch. Firstly, there is no Honours and Awards and Territories Branch within the Office of the Prime Minister & Cabinet, it’s known as the Honours, Symbols and Territories Branch, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and they don’t deal with individual medals, they deal with honours and awards such as the Australian of the Year, etc. Regardless,Mr Rush gave no such permission for Pollard to wear the medal on the same side as his authorised military-issued medals. Here is an excerpt from the letter sent to Pollard regarding his request to wear the ASIO Medal:
‘Only official awards in the Australian honours system should be worn above the left breast. As the “ASIO Retired Officers Medallion” is not an official award in the Australian Honours system, it would not be appropriate to wear it on the left hand side. I note that, as a medallion rather than a medal, it is not designed to be worn.’
Best you put that so-called ‘ASIO Medal’ back in the cornflakes packet where you found it Mr Pollard!
As for the Certificate of Appreciation Pollard claims to have been awarded by ASIO….
The production of the certificate can be best described as amateurish. For starters; the word ‘Organization’ is spelled incorrectly. Australia ceased using the US dictionary method of spelling such words way before this certificate was signed in 1995. Furthermore, Pollard claims to have been employed with ASIO between 1968 and 1986. Yet this certificate was signed by the Director General Security in September 1995! Pollard had ceased working for ASIO over nine years earlier. Pollard also claims that this certificate is enough to prove his ‘credentials’. Of all people, Pollard should know that a piece of paper with your name printed on it doesn’t establish, confirm or prove your identity. Idiot!
With regard to Pollard’s rant about the ASIO Act 1979, Part V, section 92(1)(1a) protecting him from being publicly identified as a former employee of ASIO, what Pollard refers to in his email is quite correct. If someone publishes the name of a current or former employee or affiliate of the Organisation without prior authority, they will be committing an offence. Pollard must have thought he was being clever by quoting Section 92 (1) and (1a) of the ASIO Act 1979. He also must have thought that throwing a few references from the ASIO Act would frighten us enough to back off.
Under Section 92(1b) of the ASIO Act 1979 (2013 version), subsections (1) and (1a) do not apply in relation to the deliberate unauthorised publishing of the name of a former employee or affiliate of the Organisation if that person has caused or permitted the fact that the person is a former employee or affiliate of the Organisation to be made public. Mr Pollard openly states he is a former employee of ASIO, he openly allows anyone to see his fake Certificate of Appreciation and he wears a fake ‘ASIO Medal’ along with his RSL name tag which clearly links his name with his previous employer. Pollard ceased his employment with the Organisation almost 30 years ago, so it’s highly unlikely that he would put himself, his family or the general public in danger for openly stating who he used to work for.
ANZMI replied to Pollard’s email above by telling him we thought everything he has said so far is absolute bunkum! We then received his reply….
“On 16 June 2015 at 11:04, Sub Branch <firstname.lastname@example.org> wrote:
Good Day XXXX,
When I attach for your information my ASIO Certificate of Meritorious Service what part of my email do you consider bunkum. Are you suggesting that I am impersonating a former Commonwealth Officer and if so you should report me to the Federal Police immediately.
If you are suggesting that I am wearing an ASIO medal to which I am not entitled then please report me to ASIO immediately their Brisbane telephone number is 3831 5980. They will then contact me and I will give my permission to talk with you.
If you do not desire to do that then you people cannot be as serious and of integrity as you purport.
Should you wish to discuss this matter with me my telephone No is 0414 239 855
We here at ANZMI are serious Mr Pollard, very serious. Furthermore, we don’t think you should be using the word ‘integrity’ as it is abundantly clear you don’t have any. We also reported Pollard to ASIO. It’s now up to them to decide what to do with him.
If Pollard is happy to give permission to ASIOs Brisbane office to answer our questions about him, then why is he hiding behind the ASIO Act 1979? Once again he has openly stated that he is a former employee of the Organisation, therefore enabling us to publish his name. We also did as he suggested and attempted to contact ASIOs Brisbane office. Unfortunately and unsurprisingly that number doesn’t exist. Is his ruse coming unstuck? Is his cover story falling apart? And then there was this….

Subject: ANZMI - Medals Lawrie POLLARD
To: XXXX <XXXXXXXXXX>
What you want to write about my medal is entirely up you, however I have been advised to send you the attached relevant section of the ASIO Act.
Should your Web Site contain any reference to my ASIO Service, then I will immediately file charges with the Australian Federal Police who as you know have the power to go behind your Gmail address.
If you are an Australian Citizen as you purport, and as you have been supplied with proof of my ASIO Service your actions would be indefensible.
I suggest you do more research on me and do not write me off as a nutter
We here at ANZMI conduct investigations without fear or favour. We are extremely thorough in our research and we ensure all of the information we collect during an investigation does not breach any state or federal laws. If Pollard decides to take legal action against ANZMI for publishing his name, it will be at his own expense and without the support of ASIO. The emails he has sent to ANZMI appear to be just a rant by some irrational and deluded ‘nutter’ who should be ‘written off’.
There’s also an “ASIO” trinket on the rack of medals on Pollard’s right breast, with the exception that this medal is bright and shiny! Pollard appears to be indicating he had/has a relative who was also an employee of ASIO.
Also, the beret Pollard is wearing in the first photograph is sporting an RAInf hat badge. On 15th August 1966 Pollard enlisted in the CMF and was posted to 1 Base Vehicle Workshop in Brisbane. It’s unlikely that Pollard was employed as an Infantry soldier in a vehicle workshop, so why is he wearing an Infantry Corps badge on his beret?
Pollard’s enlistment in the CMF in 1966 was soon after Australia committed troops to fight in Vietnam. It’s unknown what Corps Pollard was allocated to serve under upon completion of his basic training, but it would be safe to assume he was not RAInf as he would like you to believe. Back then it was common for people to enlist in the CMF in order to avoid being conscripted and sent to the war in Vietnam, therefore ensuring they were never called up to complete a compulsory two year enlistment as a National Serviceman. Did Pollard enlist in the CMF to avoid his National Service obligation should his date of birth be selected? Only Pollard knows the answer to that question. On 20 June 1972 Pollard discharged from the CMF at his own request, which was (coincidentally) during the time Australian forces were being withdrawn from Vietnam.
And finally; Pollard recently sent a letter to Mr Terry Meehan, the (former) President, QLD State RSL:
“Mr Terry Meehan
Qld State President
1. Several weeks ago Ian Ruxton, Deputy President of the Southport Sub Branch, acting on a Sub Branch Board request, asked you to provide a copy of the “Memorandum of Understanding”” signed between you as the Qld State President and the then CEO of QLD in relation to the use/operation of the Mates4Mates yacht. Mr Ruxton followed up this request with an SMS to you repeating this communication.
2. As of this date we have not received any reply from you or even an acknowledgement of the email. We do not accept that this document could in any way be regarded as Confidential and we re- state our request for this document.
3. We are also very concerned by a unofficial report we have received concerning recent meetings of the Qld State Board. The allegation which has been reported to us is that by a majority the Board expressed a vote of “No Confidence” in you as President on two separate occasions. As this matter is of direct interest to all Qld Sub Branch members particularly in the lead up to the AGM would you please as a matter of urgency advise:
(a) Is this allegation correct
(b) If so what action do you propose to take as a result
(c) I(c) If the allegation is correct what information do you propose to provide members in relation to your seeking re-election as President if your fellow Board members have expressed no confidence in you.
4. As concerned members of the RSL we ask that you treat this communication seriously and not ignore our right to information of relevance and importance.
Southport R&SL Sub Branch
Pollard is questioning Terry Meehan’s integrity regarding a recent event that occurred at the QLD RSL State HQ. Pollard has no right whatsoever to question another person’s integrity, particularly when he has none himself.
Pollard is a disgrace. He has conned his way into the President’s position within the Southport RSL Sub Branch, a position which demands the utmost of integrity, honesty and leadership. He has acted in an official capacity, both as the Vice President and President of the Southport RSL Sub Branch, which can only be regarded as inappropriate and an act of deliberate deception. He has attached a piece of tin to his authorised military medals when he should have been content with the ones he already has. Pollard has tried to lie, cheat and threaten his way out of being exposed, yet all he’s successfully done is bring discredit upon himself, his family and the Southport RSL Sub Branch. This poor excuse of an ex-serviceman needs to be outed as soon as possible before he does more damage to the reputation of the Southport RSL Sub Branch, it’s Executive and it’s members. What’s most disturbing is Pollard has belittled the good name of a relative by sticking a piece of tin onto their rack as well.
Here is a current photo of Mr Pollard (minus the ‘ASIO Medal’)….
Welcome to our website Mr Lawrence Vincent Pollard. This is where you’ll remain for the world to see for the rest of eternity.
Southport RSL Sub Branch
20 September 2015
It seems not all is well in the Southport RSL Sub Branch. After ANZMI’s comprehensive investigation into Mr Pollard’s lies regarding his fake ASIO medal and transgressions between he and other ranking members of the QLD RSL, he has taken it upon himself to resign from his position as the President of the Southport RSL Sub Branch and from the RSL. Pollard chose the easy option and bolted rather than face the disciplinary action that RSL QLD was going to impose upon him for his less-than-honourable service.
While ANZMI’s investigations have identified Pollard as the miscreant that he is, in the past we’ve also had the opportunity to expose other members of the Southport RSL Sub Branch Executive Committee. These other cheats are Tull and Boese:
After ANZMI’s exposure of Tull he resigned from his role as Honorary Secretary after only 12 months in the job. Tull is a medal cheat who was caught out and fell on his sword and resigned from the position of Secretary of the Southport RSL Sub Branch.
In 2013 Boese was Treasurer of the Southport RSL Sub Branch. Boese is another member of the Southport RSL Sub Branch Executive Committee who was also exposed by ANZMI as a medal cheat. Further information that has come forward indicates that the members of the Sub Branch have elected him into the position of Vice President!
When will it stop?
In just over two years three members of the Southport RSL Sub Branch Executive Committee have been exposed as medal cheats and liars. They have damaged the good name of the RSL and have flouted the traditions of ANZAC Veterans and have also chosen to disregard the Honours and Traditions of the Australian and (in the case of Boese) New Zealand Defence Forces.
The only way to stop this from occurring is to ensure ALL current and potential committee members are subject to a comprehensive check of their service records. Those who have nothing to hide can take pride in what you have been elected to do. Others who are identified as liars or cheats should be outed immediately.
Finally, here is the latest photo taken of Pollard, Tull and Boese…..
Antony "Tony" Francis Jordan.
1: CMF 1960's
2: Current Vice President VVAA Phillip Island (Museum Branch)
3: Convicted bogus Vietnam veteran.
4: Unsuccessful DVA veteran's Disability Pension applicant
5: AATTV association scourge
6: Expelled from US Special Operations Association.......
Like to read more on this poor excuse for a soldier?
To simplify this entire saga of fraudulent representation one first needs to read the following two newspaper reports dated 16th and 19th of October 1980
ANZMI was approached by numerous veterans with complaints and protests regarding JORDAN. Members of the VVAA were at odds as to why a convicted bogus veteran would hold the Executive position of Vice President of the Museum Branch at Phillip Island - accompanying his bogus veteran charges were offences of theft of ammunition and other Quatermaster Store items - for which he was also found guilty - and now he has access to donated memorabilia at the museum ....... this does not sit well with some veterans.
ANZMI were advised JORDAN has applied for a disability pension for injuries and illnesses he relates to his "war service" - again an involvement which has rankled many genuine veterans. How could a part time soldier be considered for veteran status when he was never posted (allocated for duty) to Vietnam under the legal military process? Checks and balances have shown JORDAN made his own way to Vietnam and once discovered by the Australian Army was immediately taken into custody and returned to Australia - the embarrassment and potential for an "international incident" had he been KIA (killed in action) would have been devastating for the government in power at the time.
With the above information/intelligence at hand ANZMI wrote to JORDAN giving him 17 days to reply.
As with most bogus veterans, JORDAN opted to ignore replying, and instead we received an email from a Level 4 Advocate.
The policy of ANZMI is not to reply to Advocates/advisers/representatives of ESO's.
By not complying with the request for answering our letter, JORDAN has now been posted to the world wide web for the information of all the genuine veterans of the world.
There are more reports of JORDAN's questionable behaviour ANZMI has gathered.
In March of 1996 the Special Operations Association of Las Vegas Nevada expelled him from membership due to his "submitting fraudulent information and misrepresenting his credentials for membership" ANZMI holds copies of said correspondence.
ANZMI hold further correspondence relating to JORDAN's involvement with the Military Vehicle Association of Victoria - whereby his actions led to his sacking.
The AATTV - (Australian Army Training Team Vietnam), the most decorated unit from that conflict who boast four Victoria Crosses have been embarrassed and offended by JORDAN's claims of serving with them during his short unauthorised visit to Vietnam, this austere band of warriors will immediately distance themselves from any suggestion of "comradeship" inferred by the man.
So there you have it - undoubtedly there will be those who have been taken in by this charlatan following many years of him associating with veterans groups - ANZMI would appreciate any comments from veterans who have been "burnt" over the years.
Of particular interest would be any photographs post 1980 of military functions/ceremonies where JORDAN has worn medals and paraphernalia. These items can be scanned and emailed to the address on the introduction page to this website.

The best compliment we could offer Jordan is to say he is "rat cunning", however he has been "hoist on his own petard" as the saying goes.
Following our initial report, Jordan went to the Melbourne Sun Herald newspaper, to stir up a sympathy vote, see the article that appeared on Monday 19th March 2007.
Notice how Mr John Methven, stepped up to the mark and said that we were victimising Jordan and how he and Jordan "put across" the story that Jordan is "just a bit of a larrikin who went on an adventure" and he should be entitled to the benefits available to genuine veterans.
Methven, the misguided president of the Museum Branch of the Vietnam Veterans Association Australia (VVAA) is solely to blame for all the angst and energy spent in dealing with this issue. It is another example of an Ex Service Organization dealing carelessly with the honour of genuine veterans
On 28 April 2007 at the VVAA, Victoria Branch, State Council meeting in Castlemaine, it was announced that Jordan had resigned from the VVAA (he should never have been a member) and therefore the issue never became an agenda item. This meant the main supporter of Jordon, the president of the Museum Branch of the VVAA, was not required to explain his misguided and questionable ethics in supporting Jordan, a convicted bogus veteran.
We ask Mr Methven:
1. Has Jordan told you about his fraudulent enrolment in the prestigious United States Special Operations Association (USSOA)?
2. Has he revealed to you the lies he told the USSOA?
3. Has he shown you the letter of his expulsion from the USSOA?
We now invite all veterans to consider evidence not previously released by us. After studying this evidence most reasonable people will agree that Jordan should be placed among the more virulent of those featured on our web site, for he is a liar, cheat, fraud and a dedicated wannabe.
Jordan does not in anyway qualify to be a member of the USSOA, but submitted an application to join containing outrageous claims of service with the Australian Army. Membership of USSOA organisation helped Jordan to "prove" his bona fides as a Special Forces all round "Rambo". Jordan in his own hand has fraudulently claimed to be a hero of dangerous and clandestine missions all over Asia. The first document, is his formal, signed application to join the USSOA. The second is a letter written and signed by Jordan detailing his "service".
These are the claims that he has made in his own hand writing:
1. Served Malaya 1955 - 56. Lies, he was not there
2. Served South East Asia 1960. Lies, he was not there
3. Served Confrontation Indonesia 1966. Lies, he was not there
4. Served South Vietnam 1967, 1968, 1970 and 1971. Lies. He was a civilian in Vietnam from December 1970 until late January early February 1971 a total of seven to eight weeks when he was arrested and deported by Australian troops.
5. Was part of covert Phoenix operations in South Vietnam. Lies, was not part of this operation, in fact he can't even spell it correctly. (see his letter and application)
6. Was a member of the elite Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV). Lies, was never posted to or worked with AATTV.
7. Served in Biet Dong Quan Special Force Operations. Lies, was never posted as a soldier to these operations.
8. Claimed service with the Long Range Reconnaissance United States Ranger unit. Lies was never a Ranger, nor ever a member of AATTV attached to the Rangers.
9. Used the names of genuine AATTV members as references. More lies. Unfortunately the USSOA did not check the references.
10. Claimed to be still serving in the Defence Force in 1995. Lies, was only ever in the Citizens Military Forces (CMF) and was discharge on return to Australia after being arrested and escorted back on 12 February 1971.
11. Fraudulently enlisted into the United States Special Operations Association. Used most of the lies shown above to gain entry.
12. Claimed clandestine service in Israel - Lies he never served there.
Here is a second letter, again full of lies and innuendo to ingratiate himself into the company of real veterans.
ANZMI has long tentacles with many overseas connections. The fraud perpetrated against the USSOA was not difficult to uncover, because genuine veterans world wide value their status and will not tolerate wannabes. Jordan's lies were discovered by the USSOA around nine months after he had fraudulently joined, he was expelled from the Association on 20 March 1996.
Jordan had a genuine high profile veteran Advocate assisting him with his claim for formal recognition by the Department of Veterans Affairs for his supposed Vietnam service. It is difficult to understand how a genuine veteran could put his reputation on the line by supporting this known liar and wannabe.
The advocate said "Jordan is not in the same category as men who were never soldiers, or those who said they had qualifying service when they didn't".
You are correct Mr Methven, Jordan is not in the same league as an ordinary wannabe he is a king size liar, fraud, impostor and wannabe who has ingratiated himself into the company of careless executives of an Ex Services Organisation. Why you were trying to have him pollute the veteran community is somewhat puzzling.
The veteran community deserve an explanation as to why you protected and supported this pretender. We trust that you and Jordan will go back to the Herald Sun newspaper and share the new evidence we have put forward here.
ANZMI never reveals all evidence we hold against impostors, this fresh batch of evidence has been released to counter the one-sided newspaper article orchestrated by JORDAN and Co. As most of us know, real veterans always carry a reserve of spare ammunition. This reserve is held until finally the government takes action against all of the frauds we display on these pages and then the information will be forwarded to them to secure prosecution.
Antony Francis Jordan is not a veteran and will never be accepted as one.
ANZMI would appreciate a current photograph of Mr Jordan so that all readers can identify with this person.
13 JUN 07
As requested in our May update, recent photos of Jordan have been supplied. Surprise, surprise the photos are of Tony Jordan once again displaying himself as a hardened Veteran, with twenty years service in the Australian Regular Army, including twelve months in Vietnam.
Jordan again insinuated himself into the limelight by giving a "Veteran's" story to an unsuspecting reporter from the Melbourne "Hume Weekly" newspaper. We warn all journalists that Jordan is an impostor a fraud and a liar. As a "tip" for journalists it is very easy to tell when Jordan is lying – it is when his lips are moving. Here is the ANZAC Day eve story of our hero featured in all of his glory.
We apologise to a Mr Anstell who is featured with Jordan in the Hume Weekly report, however we remind him of the old saying' "If you lay down with dogs you wake up with fleas"
Notice Jordan's deliberate lies where he says, "When shot in the backside after twelve months service", meaning he served in Vietnam for more than twelve months and was Wounded in Action. It is true that he was in Vietnam 1970 - 1971, but it was from December 1970 to late January, early February 1971 a period of seven to eight weeks. He was never wounded "by being shot in the backside" he did have a medical problem as detailed in this document:
What the medical report says is this:
5 Jan '71 Cellulitis of lateral portion of thenar aspect of hand with lymphangitis. No pus present. Started Procaine peni 2.4 mill units. Immobilisation. Return in 24 hours.
6 Jan '71 Lymphangitis improved. Area still indurated but no fluctuance. Continue antibiotics. Return 2 days.
This is what the medical report means.
"5 Jan '71 - Rash caused by deep muscle infection of outside portion of thumb aspect of hand with lymph gland infection. No pus apparent. Started penicillin 2.4 million units with novocaine (local anaesthetic) as pain relief. Come back tomorrow."
He never suffered a gunshot wound - he had a rash on his hand.
Jordan says he served with the 287th Battalion, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit - We don't really know what he did in Vietnam during his 7 weeks sojourn, however the 287th EOD unit did not exist and is just another tick to add to Jordan's "list of lies".
Jordan is a pathetic man desperately wanting to be accepted into the veteran community and is prepared to lie and cheat his way into that status. We demand of Jordan that he cease and desist. His seven weeks in South Vietnam as a civilian in no way associated with the Australian Defence Force or any other allied defence force do not make him an Australian veteran. Apart from his self arranged Vietnam service, he has, over the years lied about his service by claiming in writing to be a hardened Australian Regular Army Soldier with twenty years full time service . – Jordan is a seasoned liar, who served only as a part time Army Reserve Soldier and was never posted outside of Australia.
Before he "resigned" as Vice President from the Vietnam Veterans Association Australia (VVAA) Museum Sub-Branch he had convinced the gullible few of his bona fides to the extent, where he held senior appointments in that organisation. This included being part of the VVAA Education Team, speaking to our school children about his "service". Jordan is audacious in his lies and fraud.
We hope that the Hume Weekly can follow up their ANZAC eve story so that school children and teachers lectured to by Jordan can reassess their opinion of him and reject any of the "war stories" he may have passed on. The veterans' education "Team" must feel somewhat disparaged after knowing one of their number is a proven wannabe, a fraud and a liar - Jordan is a psychopathic liar with no consideration for those he deceives
Notice another nice photo of Jordan clearly extolling his "Regular Army Service 1955-1975"
We are reliably informed that Jordan is a member of Victoria Headquarters, Returned Services League (RSL) sub branch - ANZAC House, 4 Collins Street, Melbourne. He is entitled to membership on the basis of his Army Reserve Service, however, we call on ANZAC House to show leadership and sweep this person from their ranks. His fraudulent actions bring discredit to the RSL and to the world wide veteran community.
As long as genuine individual veterans and Ex Service Organisations are prepared to give this fool credence he will continue his charade . We urge veterans and veteran organisations to close ranks and treat this man with the contempt he deserves before he drags you or your organisation into his fantasy world that is mired by lies and deceit.
Update – 24 Aug 15
Antony Jordon recently said in a media release:
"ANZMI and others were tough on me in the beginning but now they have left me alone"
Jordon is wrong we have not, and will not leave him alone as long as he continues his quest to be recognised as an Australian War Veteran, which he is not.
Aided and abetted by members of the National Vietnam Veterans Museum on Phillip Island, Victoria he has wasted tax payers money by appealing to the Australian Appeals Tribunal (AAT) to pervert the truth of his service by rewriting history. Details of the Tribunal hearing can be found here:
Here is media report of the Tribunal finding:
Jordon created false documentation and by deception travelled to Vietnam. Whilst in Vietnam he was not serving with the Australian Army, his status would have been that of an Australian Citizen foolishly visiting a very dangerous war zone.
The only standing that Jordon has in the Veteran Community is that he is a fake.
Live: 12 Nov 2013
Lance Kenneth Kyle KENT, of Toorbul in Queensland is a member of the Toorbul RSL Sub Branch. We are reliably informed that Toorbul Sub Branch is a spin off Sub Branch of the Bribie Island RSL Sub Branch nearby. Kent and a colleague are responsible for the administration of Toorbul RSL Sub Branch Chapter and we believe that they are the only two members.
Kent is a Tin Medal hero and a wannabee. He is the First Officer for the Toorbul Rural Fire Service but wears three tin medals on his left breast that have been purchased by him as indicated below -;
In the photograph above, Kent is wearing from left to right,
Australian Service Medal 1945-75. (Entitled)
National Medal with first clasp. (Entitled)
Regular Forces Medal. (Not entitled, purchased)
Citizens Military Forces Medal. (Not entitled, purchased)
Emergency Services Medal. (Not entitled purchased)
These are the self-purchased medals -;
Our investigations reveal that Kent served with the Citizens Military Forces/Australian Reserve Forces for a long period in a number of units. This included a period on full time duty (FTD) with the Australian Regular Army. He served in Papua New Guinea for some time and attained the rank of Sergeant.
He is also entitled to wear the National Medal with first clasp for his services to the Rural Fire Service. For the period of his military service, he is entitled to wear the Defence Force Medal, but for some reason he is not wearing that award.
His official medal entitlement is:
Australian Service Medal 1945-75 clasp PNG.
National Medal with first clasp.
Australian Defence Medal.
Kent has no doubt served his country and local community well. Why he would want to embellish his military history by wearing three cheap tin medals with his official medals is a mystery that only he can answer.
It can only be to impress all those around him. The general public would not know they were tin, but genuine servicemen and veterans everywhere can identify bought medals at a glance.
These tin medals can be purchased in Medal Shops or over the internet for about twenty dollars. They do not mean a thing if they have not been awarded officially.
Our advice to Kent is to remove them completely. If he has an irresistible compulsive urge to wear unofficial tin medals, then they should be worn on the right breast below any next of kin medals.
This is published in the public interest, veterans of all conflicts, in particular that of the Vietnam Veteran Community. All information presented here is fact and the truth. Reports from the private citizens are supported by statement of fact and statutory declarations.
Persons appearing on our site that are now deceased will not be removed, but the case will have the word "Deceased" placed next to their name when we are advised.
UPDATE 23 JUN 15
It is a special kind of wannabe indeed that fails to realise when his goose is cooked and Lance KENT definitely fits the bill.
Our initial exposure of KENT in November 2013 highlighted this Tin Medal Hero as a peacock in the Toorbul Fire Brigade in Queensland while we also revealed that he is also a member of the Toorbul RSL Sub Branch.
Since our exposure of KENT who was photographed wearing a mixture of tin rubbish and official medals, we find that our hero has obtained his Australian Defence Medal (ADM) and has gone to the trouble to have a ribbon bar made up.
Of course, our man knows nothing of the correct order of wearing his legitimate entitlement and appears in the photograph with his ribbon bar upside down.
Now, if this was his only indiscretion we at ANZMI would not have wasted time with this peacock’s story, but thankfully for us, and the wider veteran’s community, there are good people out there willing to report idiots like KENT.
It can be clearly seen in the photograph that KENT is wearing two rows of ribbons. The first, with three ribbons is his correct entitlement, albeit upside down, meaning they are in the wrong order. The top row of four contains nothing but tin rubbish that has no place anywhere near official medals. The ribbons are those of the three tin medals we identified in our original exposure, the last is a tin commemorative Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee medal.
On his right side, KENT can be seen wearing the Queensland Citation awarded following the floods of 2011-12. We can only assume he has an entitlement to that award and that he has not ‘self-awarded’ himself something else he has no entitlement to wear.
Note, we use the term manufactured and not ‘struck’ when referring to tin medals. That is because they are nothing more that mass produced trinkets, whereas official medals awarded by State and Federal Governments are struck under Royal Warrant and treated with the dignity befitting our Honours and Awards.
Mixing tin rubbish with official awards, simply to make oneself look like a veteran with extensive operational experience is not only snubbing a nose at our Honours and Awards system, but is also offensive to the veterans community. It is even more offensive when someone who should know better does it. Tin medals are purchased by the individual and self-awarded. They have no place being worn with official awards.
Let us hope that KENT does not have a training role in the Toorbul Fire Brigade where he could influence young firefighters who would believe him to be a more experienced veteran rather than the fraud he really is.
Let us also hope that the members of the Toorbul Fire Brigade and the Toorbul RSL Sub Branch read this exposure and take appropriate action against this peacock.
Stick to what you do best Mr Kent, selling raffle tickets and while you are at it, sell a few to raise money for veterans who earned their medals the hard way.
"He who lets the sea lull him into a sense of security is in very grave danger."
Here is the story of ‘Captain’ Terrance Ernest Russell, JP of the Cairns Region in North Queensland. The good captain cuts a fine figure and looks all the world like at distinguished Officer in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). This nautical nincompoop is nothing more than a desperate wannabe who improperly wears the uniform of a Naval Officer, and claims to have war service with the Royal Navy (RN) and sea service with the RAN.
The astute reader will note that Russell is wearing the summer uniform with the rank of Captain, upon closer examination you may note a silver ‘Australia’ on the first ring of his shoulder board. Hard to see, yes, but for those in the know it should be readily recognisable. This small and seemingly obscure ‘device’ is critical in this case as will be detailed in the following paragraphs.
Just who is Terrance Ernest Russell?
The real Terrance Ernest Russell is originally from the United Kingdom where he worked for the cruise ship company P&O. During his tenure with P&O he reached the company rank of Staff Captain, in naval parlance that means Executive Officer or 2IC. We are reliably informed that Russell’s employment with P&O was terminated in the mid 1980’s and he left under less than favourable terms.
At no time during his time with P&O did he command a ship at sea, other than to perform routine bridge duty.
Russell did serve as an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) where he reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR).
Russell first makes an appearance in Australia not long after his departure from P&O and began ingratiating himself with the naval community in Cairns. Initially taken at his word, it soon became apparent that things were not quite right with the good captain, particularly when he opened his Marriage Celebrate business and plastered the website with images of himself wearing RAN Captains uniform.
Russell was challenged about his use of the term ‘Captain’, and wearing the RAN uniform. His reply was as follows:
‘…My service was with the P&O Company for 30 years and as you would probably know Queen Victoria gave the P&O the same insignia as the Navy.
I served with the Royal Navy for many years as a reservist but only got called up once by Thatcher to go to the Falklands in 1982. By the time I got there it was virtually done.
I have had the privilege (sic) of serving both with the RAN and the USN (COMDESRON 37) during my time.
Hope this is of interest to your enquirer
Captain Terry Russell, FAIM AFNI MLAANZ RNR (Ret'd) JP"…’
Note he signs of as ‘Captain Terry Russell, RNR’. We know this is a fabrication as he did not attain the rank of Captain in the RNR. We also know that he has never served in any capacity with the RAN or US Navy (USN).
He notes in his reply that Queen Victoria no less gave P&O the same uniform as the navy. Looking at the images printed above, we are sure the reader can tell the difference between a RAN Officer and a P&O Ships Officer.
Indeed, the Royal Naval Association in the UK advises us:
‘…although P&O Officers wear a similar uniform and cap as a Royal Naval officer, the cap badge and rank & shoulder-board stripes are different. At a glance they are similar enough to look the same. Queen Victoria did not give them the same insignia.’
Russell’s experience in the Falkland’s War is sketchy at best. He mentions that ‘I served with the Royal Navy for many years as a reservist but only got called up once by Thatcher to go to the Falklands in 1982. By the time I got there it was virtually done’.
We know he did not serve onboard SS Canberra as he does not appear on the civilian or service nominal roll. He wears no medals or other devises which might suggest war service. Given the time line and history available to us, it is doubtful he served in the Falklands War in any capacity.
We are advised that the actions of Russell have been brought to the attention of the Navy and the Australian Federal Police. It would appear that Russell was spoken too and has agreed to remove the images of himself in the uniform of a RAN Captain from his website, LinkedIn and Facebook sites. In return, it appears no further formal action is to be taken against him. This is indeed a shame as he is committing a number of offences by impersonating a government official.
Terrence Russell is also a qualified Justice of the Peace in Queensland. Given that he has in the past deceived everyone by wearing the uniform of a RAN Captain, and using the rank of Captain in correspondence, it must be asked, is Terrence Russell a fit and proper person to retain his JP status?
Terrence Russell would've been fully aware that what he was doing is wrong but such is his arrogance he thought he could get away with it. Had he not been caught out and his stories tested and found wanting, he would have continued to pretend to be a Captain, and a RAN Captain at that! He is nothing more than a fraud and a despicable wannabe and deserving of a place on this website.
Terrance Ernest Russell - Update 28 March 2015
There is an old saying that involves leopards and spots which is eminently suitable for the continuing antics of ‘Captain’ Terry Russell. Following his unmasking by ANZMI, Russell removed images of himself in an RAN Captain’s uniform from his own website, as well as both his Facebook and LinkedIn accounts. And we naturally assumed that he had mended his ways and we could move on.
Unfortunately, ‘Captain’ Russell is at it again! This time, once again looking like an extra from ‘South Pacific’, he pops up on the website of the curiously named organisation, the National Academy of Etiquette which it seems Russell has established. www.nationalacademyofetiquette.com.au/about.html And flying proudly at its masthead is Terry Russell once again in the guise of an RAN Captain.
One of the definitions of ‘etiquette’ is “the customs or rules governing behaviour regarded as correct or acceptable in social or official life”. Seems as if ‘Captain’ Terry himself might need to take one of the courses offered on his own website! Then again, he would struggle to pass the course.
Bradley Mark Parfitt was born on the 2 November, 1959. Parfitt is a "Grandstander" First Class. When we talk about wannabees, this gunslinging secret former Special Air Service Regiment (SASR) Rambo is high on the list.
He has performed highly top secret duties that he cannot talk about because of the "Official Secrets Act". But like most idiotic wanabees, he talks about them anyway! What other way is there to get your story out there.
The above photograph shows Parfitt, the gunslinger. This photograph was apparently taken in Iraq where he performed some form of security work as a civilian.
His Linked in page indicates that he trained thousands of Iraqi Police as part of his 78 million dollar fifteen month contract, and also trained thousands of Iraqi Military Special Forces. He states that he was the owner of BLP Training Australia and later BLP International. He claims in an Australian Newspaper report and on his curriculum vitae (cv) that he was a former Australian Infantry Officer and a member of the Queensland Police Force.
Over the years Parfitt has not held back on his "Official Secrets Oath" He has told colleagues that he was a former SASR operative from 1982 until 1984 during his Army Career. This is in conflict with his actual Regular Army Service of 1977 to 1982 where he spent all of his time in the Royal Australian Artillery and Royal Australian Corps of Miltary Police.
He claims that when he was in SASR, (1982-1984) he was a member of 4 Squadron, SASR. The Squadron was top secret until it was revealed in the Australian Media in 2013. Parfitt claims that the Australian Government told the media that 4 Squadron SASR had been established in 2006, but he states that this particular statement is not true. He claims that it had been established in 1980 and was based on Swan Island, Victoria, where it provided support to ASIS (Australian Security Intelligence Service) "and other things".
When questioned further regarding his statements, he replied that, "This info is really super dooper top secret and is probably something you should keep to yourself". He has stated that he is still under the "Official Secrets Act" about all this stuff and because of his secret service, he got a start later in the private operations sector in Iraq.
Well our "super dooper" SASR hero is in fact a fanciful fraud who has obviously duped a lot of people into believing his self serving rubbish.
We have been contacted by former Army associates of Parfitt who have reliably informed us that Parfitt enlisted in the Australian Army in 1977. Following Recruit Training he was posted to the School of Artillery, then to an Artillery Regiment and then Corps transferred to the Military Police. He left the Army in 1982 following an uneventful period of service.
In 1983 he joined the Australian Reserves and was posted to 1 MP Company and then to an Artillery Regiment. In 1985, he was discharged after failing to carry out efficient service.
He again somehow joined the ARES in late 1985 where was posted as a Private to an Infantry Reserve Unit in Brisbane and then North Queensland. He was then posted to the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps (RAAPC). He was again subsequently discharged failing to carry out efficient service in 1994.
Parfitt was never a member of the Special Air Service Regiment. All his SASR secret service rantings are a figment of his imagination.
He has never been a sworn member of the Queensland Police Force or a Commissioned Officer in the Australian Infantry Corps.
This wannabee has no operational service and his entire Army service in the Regular Army and Reserves could be classified as unexceptional. As a result of this exposure, Parfitt now has one more write up to include on his suspect cv.
Update. Bradley PARFITT.
When Bradley Parfitt came to our notice we were amused at his rantings of false secret "super dooper" SASR service and his reluctance to talk about it because of the "Official Secrets Act."
Particularly, as we discovered that he had no operational service whatsoever.
Since then Parfitt has threatened to sue Anzmi and he sent us a convoluted unsigned document that he obviously manufactured himself claiming it to be a genuine legal process. One glance at the document and you could tell that it was immature, unprofessional and "home made".
Parfitt then withdrew this threat, but has now again sent us the same ridiculous document.
Well we always maintain that the truth is the best defence that we can provide for any publication that we post on this site.
So much so that we now have further photographs of Parfitt wearing fake military medals and other documentation proving once and for all that he is a complete fool, a liar and a fraud.
We also have in our possession unsigned copies of Queensland Police letters that Parfitt has obviously manufactured and produced to an organisation he was affiliated with, in an attempt to verify his claim of Special Constable status within the Queensland Police Force. In these letters, he claims Special Constable status on two occasions from August, 1982 to December, 1982, and from December, 1982 until June, 1984.
Our advice is that these letters on Queensland Police Force letterheads were unofficial to enhance his status within a Queensland motor cycle club. We do not say that he was never a Special Constable for a short time. We maintain that the unsigned letters purporting to have come from the Queensland Police Commissioners Office that he produced are false and misleading.
As stated, we also have in our possession additional photographs of Parfitt exhibiting numerous military medals and other purchased "tin bling" that he is not entitled to wear.
The above medals have been identified from left to right as follows -;
1. Australian Active Service Medal with clasp. Not entitled. Purchased.
2. Iraq Medal. Not entitled. Purchased.
3. Jubilee Medal. Purchased commemorative.
4. 2002 Golden Jubilee QE2 medal. Purchased commemorative.
5. Centenary Medal 2001 with clasps. Purchased commemorative.
6. Regular Forces Medal. Purchased tin medal.
7. Citizens Military Forces Medal (CMF) Purchased tin medal.
8. Australian Security Medal. Purchased tin medal.
He is also wearing unauthorised ribands on his left chest. These are -;
1. Silver Star medal riband. (USA) not entitled. Purchased.
2. Bronze Star medal riband. (USA) not entitled. Purchased.
1. US Distinguished Service medal riband. Purchased.
2. US Combat Action Navy/Marine medal riband. Purchased.
3. Unknown medal riband Probably US award. Purchased.
Parfitt has no entitlement to any of the above awards. He has never been awarded one of them. He has purchased the entire set from the Internet or Medal Shops and had the medals Court Mounted.
Not only does he have total disrespect for genuine recipients of the AASM and the Iraq medal, he parades around wearing the US Silver Star and US Bronze Star ribands.
The US Silver Star is awarded for gallantry whilst in action against an enemy of the United States.
The US Bronze Star is awarded for a recipient distinguishing themselves with heroic or meritorious service whilst engaged in action against the enemy of the United States.
He even wears the 2001 Centenary Medal with "clasps"!! This medal does not come with clasps as it is a one off Centenary Medal. The "clasps" if genuine, would make him about 300 years old. Not real bright!.
The rest of his medals are just purchased commemorative tin that improve his unentitled rack. They do not require further comment.
He also wears the US Combat Action Navy Marine riband the wrong way around.
His peacetime Regular Army service and part time Army Reserve Force engagement, which culminated in his discharge from the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps (RAAPC), is remote from the medals and ribands that he embellishes himself with.
He is an imposter of the highest order.
In addition to his admitted false Special Air Service Regiment service, Parfitt describes himself on his c.v. among other feats of military greatness, to have experience in "long range recon" and "Senior N.C.O Weapons Instructor experience qualified through to 105 Howitzer."
We suggest that Parfitt should place his head in the barrel of one of his Howitzers and "pull the trigger".
His outright disrespect for all those service personnel who have genuinely been awarded the Australian Active Service Medal and Iraq medals is abhorrent. In addition, his improper wearing of undeserved US gallantry awards just confirms what an idiot and low life imposter Parfitt has developed into.
Parfitt is like a number of other false pretenders on this site. He threatens legal action when cornered, and continues to bluff and lie about his military service when in fact his entire service was very mundane to say the least. Comments posted about Parfitt from people who know him and recorded on our Facebook page paint his picture clearly.
He has committed offences by his manufacture of Police letters and wearing Australian military medals that he has no entitlement to. The relevant authorities will hopefully take these matters to the next level.
Parfitt has committed an offence against the Australian Defence Act 1903 as amended.
80B Improper use of Service Decorations.
1. A person is guilty of an offence if;
(a) The person wears a service decoration; and
(b) The person is not the person on whom the decoration was conferred.
Penalty. 30 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months or both.
In our original write up, we described Parfitt as a Grandstander. He is more than that. He is an outright fraud and a liar who has no credibility whatsoever.
Bradley Mark Parfitt Update 2.
Since our original exposure and update of Bradley Mark Parfitt, of Forest Lake, Brisbane, we have discovered further evidence that prove he is the total epitome of a liar and fraud when it comes to his manufactured military service.
Parfitt considers himself a bush lawyer. Regular visitors to Anzmi.net, may have noticed that the Parfitt disclosure was removed from our site for a period.
Parfitt attempted to have his lies and the photos of himself wearing unawarded medals and US bravery ribands concealed by attempting a legal manouvre to gain the initiative. His actions failed and backfired on him. He lost, Anzmi won!
This chap gets top billing, and for that, his photo with all his purchased medals and ribands will now grace our Home Page, Face Book page and Latest Cases page for a long time to come.
Since we initially exposed Parfitt, we have received a constant tirade of abuse from him, as he staunchly tries to defend his wearing of Australian Military medals and United States Army ribands that have not been awarded to him. Strangely though, he has never sent us any documentation to prove his entitlements to any medals that he wears. We are satisfied that he is probably entitled to the Australian Defence Medal for his Regular Army service and his Army Reserve Service where he was discharged from the RAAPC. (The Royal Australian Army Pay Corps in 1994.)
As stated, he did send us a convoluted unsigned home made legal document that obviously took him an entire weekend to compile, but only a few seconds for us to arrive at the conclusion that it was idiotic and childish before it was shredded and binned.
Following further investigation of Parfitt, we received a document from an informant who knew Parfitt, particularly his knowledge of when Parfitt was working as a Security guard in Iraq and the UAE. This document is obviously a Company Agreement that sets out its method of operations and most importantly it's personnel operatives. The document is geared for obtaining contracts from Governments, mainly the US and Iraq Governments, in regards to security work and other matters.
The extract below is from that document -:
As we alluded to in his initial exposures, Parfitt was never a member of the Special Air Services Regiment (SASR). He would not have lasted one hour of the first day of the selection process.
He describes himself above as an Executive Specialist in SASR for 15 years. His unremarkable record is disclosed in our initial writeup, and he was discharged as a part time Army Reserve Private in the Pay Corps in 1994 for "Failing to carry out efficient service." In other words, his services were no longer required.
One of the concerning things about this document is that there are two genuine former SASR operatives named as being involved in the Company. We will not name them here, but it is surprising that they would both allow Parfitt to claim the honour of the Regiment as an "Executive Specialist" when he is just a blatant fraud with unexceptional military service
Also in the document above, Parfitt claims that he held command positions within Australian State Police Forces in Special Emergency Response Teams and Counter Terrorist Squads. These claims are lies and he well knows it.
Parfitt, elsewhere, claims he had service in the Queensland State Police Force as a Special Constable when he left the Army from 1982 to 1984. This is the period he refers to in his forged Queensland Police letterhead documents mentioned in the previous update above.
With no disrespect to Special Constables, they are not sworn Police officers and they mainly carry out security duties on Police and Government Buildings and other security tasks in order for real Police to concentrate on crime investigation and other important duties. Just more lies from Parfitt.
The rest of his curriculum vitae (cv) above, respecting Instructor Apec, Urban Assault techniques and a Senior Instructor on the National Counter Terrorist Committee is just rubbish.
Parfitt lives in Fairyland. He is a deceitful imposter who tells lies whenever it suits the occasion.
Below is a submission to a Queensland Government Inquiry into banning outlawed motor cycle clubs -;
Parfitt submission into Legislative Requirements to ban outlawed motor cycle clubs.
I am a returned serviceman and also a Private Security Company owner in the
Global War on Terror. I watched men die in the name of FREEDOM. I held them in
my arms and cried. I had parts of their bodies blown all over me. Politician’s, please don’t say you “Know how I feel” because you don’t; unless you have been in combat and seen and felt it. I CHOOSE to associate with so called Outlaw Motorcycle Club members for many reasons – don’t take away my freedom – I think I have earnt it.
Parfitt was never a Returned Serviceman. He did not serve outside Australia in his time in the Regular Army or the Reserves. As far as being in combat, no comment required. Just more lies. The rest of it make up your own mind. He may have had a leaky fountain pen in the Pay Corps, but that would be the only angry shot he saw in his entire Army service. We are not being critical of the RAAPC here, just a former member.
In another submission to a Queensland Inquiry into the safety of Motor Bikes , Parfitt stated below,
HI VIZ VEST LAW 20
BRAD ON CONSPICUITY, VISUAL AND AUDIBLE
I have served in combat with Counter Terrorism Special Operations. There is an inescapable nexus between the visibility of something drawing the viewer towards it ie you see something out of the corner of your eye you will look at it ... where you look is where you steer. Hence, this clothing will increase the number of sideswipe crashes car v motorcycle.
Any reflective properties of any substance are negated if the surrounding light is of a higher measurement (eg A retro-reflector does not return light shone onto it exactly to the point of origin. Rather, it returns a cone of retro-reflective light towards the source of illumination)
This knowledge of reflection is a fundamental principle of camouflage that every soldier knows.
Parfitt loves to draw attention to his personal Global War on Terror. We have been reliably informed that Parfitt spent most of his time in an office in Dubai during his time as a Security Guard in the Middle East and only went to Iraq for the odd "photo shoot with gun in hand."
The below entry is a submission for entry to a motor cycle club after he had been refused entry to the Vietnam Veterans Motor Cycle Club (VVMC) due to the fact that he was not entitled to wear the Australian Active Service Medal (AASM) or the Australian Service Medal. (ASM)
Unfortunately many contractors who served three, four or five years in direct combat operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia , Libya etc didn’t receive an ASM or AASM during their 10, 15 or 20 years service in the Army (wasn’t enough wars and peace keeping actions around !) The Veterans / VVMC requirement for entry is the ASM or AASM and thats fair enough, its their Club. With respect; I think its time all Veterans acknowledged Contractors as not security guards (common misconception) but as battle hardened veterans who lost a hell of a lot of Brothers killed in action. Animosity needs to be put aside, we contractors are surely entitled to patch status and to stand side by side with the Veterans and VVMC. It is also high time the Patriots were recognised and honoured for their years and years of service to the country and granted patch status.
In the above statement, Parfitt considers himself a battled hardened veteran.
It is ironic that in the statement above he rightly states that civil contractors did not receive the "ASM or the AASM."
In our previous update, Parfitt is photographed illegally wearing the Australian Active Service Medal with one clasp next to the Iraq Medal and others on his left side. The clasp would no doubt be Iraq. As stated, none of the medals he wears or U.S ribands have been officially awarded to him.
The Anzmi website cases are read world wide. We regularly receive communications from Australian and overseas media organisations that request approval to publish our written exposures and photographs. . This is obviously due to copyright laws in different countries. We always accede to their requests and are delighted that others recognise and acknowledge the work that we do.
We gain satisfaction in knowing that there is media interest out there that think the same as we do, who are willing to expose imposters like Parfitt. Their published account of Parfitt is identical to our exposure and has gained him more deserved publicity overseas.
Below is further evidence that Parfitt is seriously lacking in any integrity whatsoever. In this article "Military talk with Brad Parfitt", he claims that inter alia,
"He delivered rapid training to members of the Australian Defence Force immediately prior to ADF inserting into Timor Leste and supplying the ADF with a suite of less than lethal options."
• About Brad Parfitt
About Brad Parfitt
Brad Parfitt served in the Australian Regular Army from January 1977 to December 82 followed by two periods of Army Reserve Service from March 83 – February 85, then August 85 to September 94.
During his reserve service he was posted to a number of units including 51 Bn, a Regional Force Surveillance unit and occupied establishment positions in support and administrative units as a holding pattern, when off shore in his civilian security work.
After Regular Army service, Brad became involved in both on and off shore security operations. The firm he was Director of provided security, paramedical, fire and rescue services in the mining industry with major contracts at Groote Eyland , Gove and Queensland Nickel in Australia. At this time his firm was also contracted to conduct the operational and security components of the Federal Governments gun buy back scheme in Queensland.
By the mid nineties Brad was soon recognised as a trouble shooter. He had become interested in less than lethal munitions and travelled extensively gaining qualifications and experience culminating in the firm he was a Director of delivering rapid training to members of the Australian Defense Force immediately prior to the ADF inserting into Timor Leste and supplying the ADF with a suite of less than lethal options.
As the world faced 9/11, Brad Parfitt was one of the early ‘old hands’ who started traveling into countries and providing short term services to various Government Departments. In ’03, Brad’s focus changed to Iraq and he commenced working to gain a permanent presence in the Middle East. He undertook some short term work and continued to gain knowledge of the complex battle space and actors
Parfitt certainly suffers from aggrandisement. One wonders what this country would be like if we did not have Parfitt out there defending our shores in the Global War on Terror.
The Australian Defence Force must be ecstatic having someone like Parfitt training their troops and supplying them "with a suite of less than lethal options." Glory be.
We repeat, it is an offence under the Defence Act 1903, to wear Australian Military medals that have not been awarded to you or claim to be a returned soldier, sailor or airman. Parfitt has blatantly committed offences under this act.
Hopefully, our next update will reveal forged letters with Queensland Police letterheads verifying that he was working as a Special Constable in the anti terrorist field for a short period of time. This matter is also under investigation. We will then look forward to the relevant authorities taking action against this imposter and that will be the last we, or anyone else hears about him.
